THE BUSINESSES THAT COMPRISE THE MICRO MARKET
Although it can be defined in different ways, we generally define the Micro Market as including businesses in the following ranges:
- between $2 million and $25 million in revenues and/or
- between $300,000 and $3 million in Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA)
Micro Market businesses tend to be too large for the prototypical small business buyer and too small for larger financial and strategic buyers. Since a limited number of entities are interested in acquiring Micro Market businesses, these business transitions require special tactics and strategies.
